Organization
Our project is directly contributing to the realization of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals

Vision
‘Solidarity with Orphans‘ is collaborating with African partners, the St. Therese Sisters, to create a promising and lasting perspective for the future of HIV/ AIDS orphans.
We follow a buttom-up development approach: our partners know the problems on site, because they are locals. They try to come up with smart solutions considering the scarcity of resources and difficulties on site. Almost all sisters hold university degrees or special training, which qualifies them for their role in the organization. By means of intense communication with stakeholders on site, they implement our projects into local structures.
The activities of our organization are three-fold: First, we offer emergency medical aid. Second, we provide personal support through counselling and third, we provide scholarships and train our orphans in vocational training centers to become tailors or carpenters. It is a long and challenging process over many years.
We want to provide young boys and girls with the opportunity to undergo a process of personal development and maturity. At the end of such a process should emerge a confident person who is able to lead an independent life, both humanly and entrepreneurially. In an ideal case, formerly supported adults uphold a strong bond with the project and support it within their given possibilities.
The organization perceives itself as an open platform. Get involved and contact us here.
