History
The organization was founded around 12 years ago by committed members of the parish St. Canisius. Ms. Dr. Rauch, who was in charge of the Miserior-Hospital in Mugana/ Tanzania for three years at the time, can be said to be the main initiator of the project. Her reports on the destitute of HIV/ AIDS orphans did receive a lot of attention in the neighborhood of Großhadern, Munich.
Her personal relations to committed people in the region, and particularly to the sisters of the Maria Goreth Organization, in addition to her distinct knowledge of the local circumstances, laid the ground for successful collaboration and cooperation.
Since 2008 we have also been able to support the ‚Jipe Moyo School‘ which enables disadvantaged children to access education.
Moreover, an art project with the title ‚Happiness‘ was conducted between pupils of the 8th grade of the ‚Derksen-Gymnasium‘ in Großhadern and orphans of the ‚Kalema Secondary School‘ in Kazhosi. Aim of the project was to cultivate intercultural exchange between children of different cultures.
Our project has so far had a rather local focus with its centre based in Munich, Großhadern. However, everyone with interest in our project is welcome to join or participate in their preferred ways.
