We are very happy that four of the St. Therese sisters came to Munich last Tuesday the October 4th. They will stay here untill Monday, October 17th. During the last days we had the chance to get to know better four wonderful persons, but also to learn more about life in Tanzania and projects of the sisters. Sein großes Engagement für klassische Musik und unseren Verein zeichnet Thomas Friese immer wieder aufs Neue aus. So veranstaltet er am Samstag, den 16. April, um 19:30 Uhr in der Pfarrkirche St. Canisius ein Benefizkonzert mit dem Werk Die sieben letzten Worte unseres Erlösers am Kreuze von Joseph Haydn. Wie immer ist der Eintritt frei; es wird jedoch um Spenden für Solidarität mit Waisen gebeten.

»Afrikanisches Fieber« ist ein Begriff, der nicht etwa die Tropenkrankheit Malaria umschreiben soll. Vielmehr veranschaulicht er einen Prozess der Kolonialisierung von souveränem afrikanischem Gebiet durch europäische Großmächte im späten 19ten Jahrhundert.
